Staff Up-gradation At Horizon Academy

The school believes that an organization will always grow as much as its people grow…hence due care is taken that every staff member is given enough resources, encouragement and scope for personal growth and exploration and to realize their true potential.

Every individual who works under the umbrella of Horizon Academy is upgraded in all possible ways. The teaching staff works in harmony with the co-ordinators and the head of departments. Regular HOD meets encourage teachers to inculcate innovative methods in their teaching-learning process. In-house trainings for making teachers techno-savvy, spoken & written skills of languages and developing their soft skills through demos & presentations are conducted time to time. Digital classes training, vocabulary development training, guest lectures, field visits are various types of in-house up-gradations.

Staff members including the Principals enthusiastically participate in various workshops, seminars and cell meets locally and outside town, like those conducted by the Education Department, CISCE, Association of Nashik Schools, Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj, Association of ICSE Schools, Mumbai where teachers get an opportunity to interact with international as well as national trainers. Apart from Nashik, teachers attend trainings of various subjects at Delhi, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Vapi, Kolkata, Lucknow etc.

For newly recruited staff members a special Induction Programme with workshops is arranged every year. All heads of departments share their own experience & discuss about new methods & techniques for teaching their respective subjects. Along with subject knowledge; personality development, classroom management, work-culture, interpersonal relationships with colleagues, are some of the areas in which a staff member is groomed. Teachers also give lesson demos using multi-media and teaching aids. The teacher development programme “Anubhuti“, wherein teachers conduct presentations on various subjects is extremely popular among staff.

Sevikas, drivers, cleaners are also encouraged and given opportunities for personal growth. Their counselling sessions and meetings are held regularly. They are also felicitated annunally.
